Saudi Umrah Visa Information

If you're planning to perform Umrah, you'll need the correct visa before travelling to Saudi Arabia. At Ayat Tour UK, we guide our customers through the visa process and help make the application as simple as possible.

Depending on your nationality and travel plans, there are different types of Saudi visas available.

Types of Saudi Visas

Saudi Electronic Visa Waiver (EVW)

The Saudi Electronic Visa Waiver is available to eligible British passport holders. It is valid for 180 days from the date of issue and allows a single stay of up to 90 days. With this visa, you can travel throughout Saudi Arabia, including for Umrah.

Saudi Tourist Visa

The Saudi Tourist Visa is valid for one year and allows multiple entries. Each visit can last up to 90 days. It allows you to travel across Saudi Arabia and perform Umrah outside the Hajj season.

Saudi Umrah Visa

The Saudi Umrah Visa is specifically for pilgrims travelling to perform Umrah. It must be arranged through an approved travel agency such as Ayat Tour UK. This visa normally allows a stay of up to 90 days and is intended for travel to Makkah, Madinah, and Jeddah.

Documents Needed for a Saudi Umrah Visa

To apply for an Umrah Visa, you will usually need:

  • A passport with at least six months' validity.
  • A completed visa application.
  • A recent passport-sized photograph with a white or light-coloured background.
  • Confirmed hotel booking.
  • Confirmed return flight booking.
  • Any additional documents requested by the Saudi authorities.

If your name does not clearly indicate that you are Muslim, you may be asked to provide a certificate from your local mosque or Islamic centre confirming your faith.

Saudi Umrah Visa Rules

Before you travel, it's important to understand the latest visa regulations.

  • Adults aged 18 and over can perform Umrah using an eligible Saudi visa.
  • Children under 18 must travel with a parent or legal guardian.
  • If required, proof of family relationship, such as a birth or marriage certificate, should be provided.
  • Female travellers may be asked to provide supporting documents if travelling with a guardian who has a different surname.
  • Non-UK citizens must hold a valid UK residence permit when applying from the UK.
  • Umrah Visa holders must follow all Saudi immigration and travel regulations throughout their stay.
  • Entry and exit points may be restricted depending on the visa issued.

Please note that Saudi visa regulations can change at any time. Our team will always advise you on the latest requirements before you travel.

Important Visa Information

Although we carefully prepare every application, the final decision on issuing a visa is made by the Saudi authorities.

Please keep the following in mind:

  • Visa approval is never guaranteed.
  • Processing times can vary and are usually around 5 to 10 working days, although delays are possible.
  • Visa fees and travel arrangements may be subject to the latest Saudi government regulations.
  • Travellers are responsible for following all Saudi laws and regulations during their stay.
  • If your travel plans change, cancellation charges may apply in line with our booking terms and conditions.
